Two ‘Joyned’ As One – A Modern Texas Hill Country Wedding

Courtney and Josh Joyner were married on a beautiful sunny day in Dripping Springs, Texas.  Angela Lally did an incredible job capturing the personal touches, Austin vibes and quirkiness they love so much about each other.  I’ve never seen two people smile and laugh as much as these newlyweds and I’m so excited to share their special day!

Their invitations by Fine Day Press were vibrant blue watercolor and complimented the bride’s stunning sapphire engagement ring.  Blue also made appearances in the center of white anemones and thistle in the flawless bouquets by Anthemum Floral Design.  The bride, who is also the founder of Brush Strokes Pottery, made indigo His and Hers ring dishes and the cutest Texas ornaments as gifts for each guest.  I took two and hang them on my Christmas tree every year!View More: http://angielphotography.pass.us/wedding-josh-courtney

The Prospect House is an incredible venue.  Nestled in Texas Hill Country, the modern architecture allowed guests to enjoy incredible views inside and out.  Dramatic white beams, floor to ceiling windows, flawless landscaping and a wall full of flowers meant stunning backdrops everywhere you looked.

The couple wrote each other letters to read while getting ready.  Angela captured the joy on their faces as they sat and took in words of love and encouragement.  Courtney wore an incredible Essence of Australia lace gown with cap sleeves and a dramatic plunging back.  Josh and his groomsmen shared trendy matching socks.  Both wore Converse, the bride in white and the groom in grey.  What a unique and comfortable choice for their wedding day!

Josh’s reaction during the first look is one of my all time favorites.  They shared a few laughs, a high five and lots of kisses as they took photos as a couple before the ceremony began.

The ceremony space leaves me speechless.  An incredible white frame serves as an alter and the natural beauty of Dripping Springs takes care of the rest.  The service was short and sweet, filled with happy tears, laugher and lots of love.

After the ceremony, the reception area was revealed and cocktail hour began!  She + Him Bartending served wine, beer and trendy cocktails.  We love their copper bar accessories!  The couples favorite ATX food truck, The Peach Tortilla passed around delicious and colorful appetizers.  Dinner was in a separate room, with modern wooden tables lined with greenery runners, white washed walls and a massive steel fan.  Courtney creatively designed each and every wedding sign.  Her fun and playful handwriting made them so unique and had guests smiling and taking photos of them all night!

One of my favorite photos from this wedding is one where the bride and her wedding party held signs saying how they knew the bride.  This is such a cute idea and a great way for guests to look back and learn more about the bridesmaids!  The flower girl stole the show with her adorable dress, headband and sweet smile!

If you’ve ever been to Austin you know they love their food trucks!  So much so, that some couples decide to have them cater their special day!  The Peach Tortilla served delicious tacos and sliders on trendy compostable plates.  From the photos I think it’s safe to say Courtney and Josh enjoyed dinner 😉

The reception was full of 90’s throwbacks, sweet treats and glow sticks.  Their dessert table was filled with delicious cakes and cupcakes by Polka Dots Bakery.  Friends and family had so much fun celebrating these two incredible humans.  Congratulations Courtney and Josh, you two could not be more perfect for each other and your positive attitude and silly spirit is an inspiration and reminder to enjoy life and find reasons to laugh every day!
