On September 15, 2017 at Postlewaits Country Weddings two really incredible people promised forever to each other.  Complete with colorful orchards, lush vineyards, a beautifully renovated barn, and an old fashioned saloon for drinks, this venue was the perfect location for a rustic backyard wedding.  David and Mariah’s wedding day was full of love, excitement and intimate moments, and we’ve never seen a couple complement each other more perfectly.  Now it’s time to share some of our favorite captures from this special day by Julia Green Photography!

The girls got ready with Powder Inc. in the barn’s bridal suite.  Personal touches were everywhere, including a custom pair of Nikes that David made for Mariah with their wedding date stitched on the back, adorable vow books with the couple’s initials and wedding date printed on them, and a glass water bottle with the bride-to-be’s new name.

Mariah’s mother and maid of honor helped her into her gown, a stunning Maggie Soterro from Charlotte’s Weddings.  We loved the unique blush underlay, keyhole back and delicate lace sleeves.  The bridesmaids wore blush, beige and grey, each dress was different.  Our favorite accessory was the girls’ flower crowns of greenery and baby’s breath.  The bride had a lovely collection of blush roses accenting hers.  Mariah took a swig of chocolate syrup to calm her nerves and then the ladies held hands and said a sweet prayer before the bride and groom’s first look.

David and his groomsmen spent the moments before the first look outside.  The handsome group shared a celebratory drink and showed off their fun dress socks in photos.  David wore a stylish blue suit and a light grey polka dotted tie.  The guys sported dotted bow ties and suspenders.

We love how David immediately opens his arms when he sees Mariah for the first time.  The joy on her face was priceless and the two spent moments checking out the bride’s sweet kicks before sharing their first wedding day kiss.  Mariah also did a first look with her father and stepfather, both were beaming when they saw her for the first time.

Finally, we’ll introduce one of the most important members of the wedding party, Parker.  This golden retriever was so handsome in his bowtie and is always smiling from ear to ear!david-71

Finally we get to show off this venue!  The ceremony space was surrounded by tall trees and lush greenery.  Three chandeliers were lit over the altar, adding a touch of glam to the natural beauty of the space.  Each ring bearer had very important jobs, one held a sign saying “Uncle, here comes your girl” and the other presented a sweet ring bearer pillow hand-stitched by the groom’s mom.  Mariah made her way slowly down a flower-lined pathway and over the cutest wooden bridge before revealing herself to family and friends. David’s father stood proudly at the front with a smile on his face, ready to play the very important role of officiant.

The couple wrote vows for each other and for their nephew – and cutest ring bearer ever- Makhailo.  Guests were in tears when they both knelt down and promised to love each other, and love him, forever.  This was the sweetest reminder that a marriage is not just a commitment to loving and supporting your husband or wife, but also to caring for and protecting their family.  We think Makhailo is pretty lucky to have ended up with these two!

The wedding party and family snapped photos while guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks.  These mix-matched bridesmaids couldn’t have done a better job selecting their dresses, each was beautiful separately, and together the ladies looked gorgeous!

The reception was just as magical as the ceremony.  The tables and dance floor were surrounded by vineyards, beautifully landscaped gardens and market lighting. Guests played yard games and enjoyed Mexican street food from Stella Tacos and Hawaiian cuisine from 808 Grinds.  We love when couples choose their favorite food trucks, this is such a cool way to show off your personality!

Mariah and David’s creative display of The Hungry Hero Dessert Co. desserts easily tops our list! We adored the golden Love balloon and the camera did too!

Mariah and David walked hand in hand through a field of incredible oak trees and enjoyed the sunset glow.  Julia Green captured the light, and their happiness and love for each other perfectly.
