Salenda and Hunter were married at Living Waters Church in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Both are youth pastors at the church and we’re sure they have some pretty incredible memories there. Now they’ve got their wedding day to add to the list! Annie Ruby Photo captured this day beautifully and we cannot wait to share with you!!
The bride got ready with her mother and bridesmaids. She wore a breathtaking and unqiue Essence of Australia with incredible lace and a sweetheart neckline. She added a long simple veil and the trendiest suede shoes to finish her wedding day look. Her bridesmaids wore soft grey dresses from DC Dress. We love these convertible dresses because fit all shapes and styles. Before the ceremony, the beautiful bride did a first look with her besties and then took a moment alone to read a letter Hunter wrote her. Her genuine reaction had us in tears. “I will choose you forever”, it read.
The groom suited up with his guys. He wore a stylish black suit and tie, contrasted with a charcoal vest. His groomsmen complimented him in grey shirts and black ties. He also had moments alone before the ceremony to read the love letter Salenda wrote him. Pre-ceremony letters are a great way to calm nerves if you choose not to do a first look.
The couple were married under an incredible wooden arch that Hunter’s father built for them. Aunts, mothers and grandmas joined forces to add greenery and white roses from Fifty Flowers to the ceremony space and hand painted welcome sign by Sign Junkie.
Salenda smiled sweetly at her groom as her father walked her down the isle. The two held hands and shed tears during communion and then celebrated with their first kiss as husband and wife!
After the ceremony, family got together for photos. We love to see the joy on wedding guest’s faces after the ceremony!!
The wedding party snuck off to a spectacular golden field in Chino Valley for photos. This place was so beautiful that Salenda and Hunter also chose it for their engagement photos! The ladies held full bouquets of greenery and white roses and the guys carried a single white rose on their lapels.
This group had so much energy and constant smiles on their faces. The bridemaids let the wind carry their full skirts away as they wandered through grassy fields. The groomsmen took some pretty epic jump shots, shared a high five, and even a nuggie!
These might just be some of our all time favorite sunset photos. The blues and greys of the sky and golds and greens of the grass are seriously stunning. Salenda and Hunter enjoyed moments alone before hurrying back to join the party. The way these two look at each other is so peaceful and sweet. First newly engaged and now newlyweds in front of this magical backdrop.
After sunset photos, the couple met family and friends for dinner and dancing in Hunter’s parents backyard. A calligraphed banner with Song of Solomon 3:4 blew in the wind as it hung from the fence. The banner wasn’t the only quote at the party. Sweet bible verses were posted on mismatched signs throughout the reception space.
The sweetheart table was sprinkled with long stem white roses and the cutest block letters with the bride and groom’s initials. The ceremony arch and flowers were repurposed and the family even set up a swanky black and white checkered dance floor. The couple shared a two-tier wedding cake and Hunter’s uncle built the cutest wall to display tasty donuts for guests!
Salenda and Hunter shared their first married dance under twinkle lights and then danced the night away. To seal the deal, a perfect sparkler exit, and one last wedding day kiss!
We are so happy for Mr. and Mrs. Davis!! Their wedding day was stunning and full of personal touches. These two were already partners at church but now are also partners in life. Engaged Life wishes you a lifetime of happiness, love and days as good as this one. Thank you for sharing your incredible memories with us!
