Nate and Elle’s Santa Barbara wedding fully embraced the SoCal style! Palm leaves, pops of bright color, beach waves and jean jackets were just a few of our favorite details. Nicole Kirshner Photography beautifully captures Elle’s radiant smile, the way Nate looks at her, and the epic amounts of fun this best day ever was!!
The couple chose the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History for their ceremony. Elle got ready on the property in front of the Broder Bulding, which featured a Spanish style roof and turquoise trimmed doors. Blush + Bangs gave the bride a bronze glow and long delicate lashes. Her ladies rocked jean jackets and posed energetically for photos before Elle snuck off with her mother to slip into her stunning wedding gown. The Grace Loves Lace dress had thin straps, a lacy low back and the perfect slit to show off her something blue suede heels. Wild Story Floral created a stunning bouquet packed full of tropical flowers and proteas. Bridesmaids held greenery bouquets with hand-dyed indigo ribbon (our favorite) and rocked flower crowns to match! Each one wore a unique beige maxi and this crew looked dynamite together!
Before the ceremony, Elle met with the groomsmen (sans Nate, of course). They delivered a pretty rad gift to the bride, a shiny new surf board! We love Elle’s reaction to the surprise.
Nate wore a dark grey suit and white tie held in place with the coolest tie clip. His best man wore a coral tie to match the bride’s bouquet while the rest wore indigo to match the bridesmaid’s ribbon. They roamed the property, stopping to take goofy photos with a John Deere and a wheelbarrow.
The ceremony was in the venue’s wooded area, surrounded by incredible trees. We love how the couple honored loved ones with palm leaves and something each of them cherished. Props again to Wild Story Floral for one of the coolest aisle and arch displays we’ve seen!!
Nate smiled as Elle walked down the aisle. After a prayer, the two tossed corn hole bags (we have to hear this story!), said sweet vows and shared their first kiss as husband in wife. Family photos under the arch followed and then these two strolled down to the beach for pink smoke bombs and bare feet in the sand. Elle ditched her veil for a colorful flower crown, we love this reception trend!
Dinner and dancing took place at Chase Palm Park, a picturesque beach villa located on the ocean side. Signature drinks, pineapple centerpieces and glazed donuts were on display for guests as they arrived. Stone Fire catered a delicious dinner, but not before the bride and groom made their grand entrance with more smoke bombs and the sweetest first dance. We loved so many details about this reception, designed by Salt & Poppies. The wooden table numbers, indigo napkins, bride’s jean jacket when the sun went down, be still our hearts!!!
Congratulations Nate and Elle!! Your wedding was truly Pinterest-worthy and we’re so stoked to be able to share it with the world on our blog. We wish you a lifetime of great surf, first kisses and twinkle light dinner parties with friends. Welcome to Married Life!!
