Adventures Are Forever – A PNW Wedding at Manchester State Park, WA

Ken and Angela’s best day ever was full of laughter and love, and took place at one of Washington’s hidden gem wedding venues, Manchester State Park.  The park’s warehouse, with it’s massive stone fireplace, weathered brick walls and windowless arches, is the perfect airy space for the bohemian bride!  Surrounded by hiking trails and tall trees, this space is simply enchanting.  The best part, it’s only $200 to rent!!

Back Country Imagery captured every smile and sweet moment, starting with the first look.  Angela held a DIY bouquet of soft roses, babies breath and greenery with a delicate flower crown to match.  She embraced her hair’s epic natural curl with the help of Shea Moisture and finished off her look with Lashies by Jay and a cathedral length veil.  Her dress from Brides For A Cause, Tahoma fit beautifully with intricate lace detail and a scalloped train.  Ken was so excited to see his bride, he turned around well in advance of a tap on the shoulder.  These two smiled before they even locked eyes and didn’t stop for the rest of the day.

We cannot get over the venue’s ceremony space.  Eucalyptus runners framed the fireplace, ran down the aisle, and decorated a handmade wooden sign that read “Adventures are Forever”.

Ken smiled as Angela made her way down the aisle.  Family and friends watched as these two shared handwritten vows.  They talked about love and acceptance, hiking adventures, and feeling so lucky.  The couple celebrated with colorful drinks before signing their marriage certificate.  So much happiness!!

After the ceremony, the wedding party snuck out to the meadow for photos.  Each bridesmaid wore a different color jewel toned dress and held a babies breath bouquet.  The groomsmen kept it simple with white shirts and trendy black bowties.

Before heading back to their reception, the couple snuck off for photos, using Angela’s veil to make each shot extra magical.  These newlyweds kissed in the trees, walked the beach hand in hand, and smiled the entire time.  You can tell they truly enjoyed every moment alone and were so happy to be married.

An outdoor enthusiast’s wedding wouldn’t be complete without the perfect cake topper.  We loved this ode to adventure!  As the sun set Angela and Ken danced the night away, first together in front of a candlelit fireplace, and then with family and friends.  This day was so unique and intimate, and something we’re sure these two will cherish forever.

Engaged Life wishes Mr. and Mrs. Arnold a lifetime of beautiful hikes, flower girl twirls, and smiles as bright as the ones you wore on the day you became husband and wife.  Welcome to Married Life!!

  1. Hi there! This might be a long shot, but I’m getting married here this April and I wanted to get some ideas on what you guys did since there’s no electricity. Thank you!

    1. Hi Katie! Another long shot here! I am wondering what you ended up doing for electricity (I’m thinking a generator) but I’m mostly wondering what you did for ceremony music and dance music since there is no amplified music allowed! Thank you

  2. Hello! The work here is gorgeous! I love how you captured this venues beauty! I am looking at getting married here and I am wondering what the couple did for music since there is no amplified sound allowed
