It happened everyone, I’m engaged to my best friend! Would you believe me if I told you he proposed exactly where we had our very first date! I think I was just as nervous and excited as that same first moment overseeing the beauty of the lake with mangos in one hand and fishing pole in the other. Except for this time instead of a mango and a fishing pole I had flowers and an engagement ring!
We have been dating for over two years, and we had talked about this one day to come. Halle called me to take photos and I had a hunch this could be the day! But when we arrived it was just her and I taking pictures. I felt silly to over think he could be asking me today. He was supposed to be in North Carolina with his family, and I immediately felt a little sad. I couldn’t even tell you how I felt when I heard him call my name, and I turned around to the man I love. My heart stopped, there he was standing with his white button down, his fresh hair cut, and my favorite red roses. All I could do was smile, hold his hand and say YES! I was overwhelmed with joy in heart!
I’m so thankful Halle was there to capture everything I was feeling inside. I’m so thankful for these photos I get to look back on and cherish for the rest of our lives. We will never forget Nov 21st, 2018.
