Tara and Sean – An Ocean Blue Wedding at The Mansion at Tuckahoe

Tara and Sean were married at the most stunning venue in Jensen Beach, Florida. The Mansion at Tuckahoe has sweeping ocean views, dynamic palm trees, elegant staircases and lots of lush greenery. Halle Morgen Photography shared so many beautiful images, as well as the bride’s story of how these two met and planned, then re-planned their best day ever.

We’re both from the same home town (Gainesville, FL) and attended the same high school and then college (University of North Florida in Jacksonville) but Sean is 6 years older so always at different times. We have the same group of friends from home so we’d see each other when I visited Gainesville but were always dating other people. In October 2016, Sean kissed me and we were “boyfriend/girlfriend” by November 2016. After dating long distance for about 6 months, Sean moved to Jupiter, FL to be with me. We got engaged in July 2018 and scheduled our wedding for Feb 2019.

My dad was battling cancer but we were told it was “totally treatable” so not much of a concern. After an unsuccessful chemo treatment, it became much more serious and we moved to Tampa for 6 weeks to undergo a recently FDA approved treatment called car-t therapy. The process was very scary and no one knew if he’d make it, so in mid-December we decided to post-pone the wedding. By Christmas time, however, the Dr informed us of a miracle… he had beat cancer. Although there’s still a high chance the cancer will come back, and he is now permanently paralyzed from the waist down and in rehab, we’re hopeful. We decided to re-book the wedding for the same date and here we are!

We’ll start on the venue’s patio, overlooking the ocean. This is where the girls, wearing matching cute and comfy sweaters, popped bottles of champagne and laughed with excitement. Beauty by Creative at Heart gave Tara a romantic ponytail and long flirty lashes. Her dress was sleek and elegant, with just a hint of sparkle in the sleeves and down the low back. Her bridesmaids wore the most epic shades of blue, all slightly different but perfectly complimenting each other. Their dresses remind us of the ocean, and paired perfectly with the bright green leaves and white florals in their lively bouquets by Events by Amy LLC.

The groomsmen and wore black suits and blue ties to match the ladies dresses. Sean wore a classic black bowtie and a vest so that he stood out a bit from the others. His fluffy best man also wore a tuxedo, but with subtle pinstripes, and he had the cutest ears we’ve seen!!

The ceremony took place on a terrace with the mansion and its iconic palm trees in the background. 59 & Bluebell Weddings and Events made sure every detail was perfect, from the wooden signage to the greenery decorated welcome table. Tara’s father proudly walked her down the aisle, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight when he gave her away.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed delicious appetizers and refreshing drinks by Laura Ashley Catering while the newlyweds snuck off to the beach for sunset. Halle gives us a quick glimpse at the reception space before joining them. Each table was decorated with greenery runners and candles in tall glass vases. The custom menus were tucked inside of beautiful linen napkins. Stunning!

As the sun set over the horizon, Tara and Sean walked through the sand, celebrated with their bridal party, and shared lots of first kisses. They joined their guests for dinner, speeches and dancing in an extraordinary tent and filled with music by Kenny Mondo Productions. We are so beyond happy these two got to have the wedding of their dreams, and with Tara’s father there to share in the joy and happiness. Welcome to Married Life you two!! We wish you a lifetime of beach sunsets, dance parties, and unforgettable memories with your family and closest friends. XOXO
