I’ll See You, Through The Sun and Rain – A Dreamy Outdoor Wedding in Lake Tahoe

Remember Kristina and Steven from this Donner Lake engagement shoot? Well they got married and it was epic and we’re so excited to share the entire day (and a bonus day after shoot) with you on the blog!! These two got married at Black Bear Lodge in beautiful Lake Tahoe, joined by the very talented Brooke Shannon Photography.

The bride and her crew enjoyed the sunshine, popping champagne outside in their adorable peach rompers. Afterwards Kristina slipped into a strapless Sparkle Bridal Couture gown with a sweetheart neckline and the coolest lace pattern. She wore soft curls by Allie Vidal and a dainty flower crown of greenery with pops of white and burgundy florals. We loved her dark lip by Pretty in Pera and shoes to match!! Before the “first look” Kristina met her father outside and each of them shared a letter they’d written. This looked like such an emotional and special moment and the photos warmed our heart.

Steven rocked a bright blue suit with a tweed vest and a burgundy floral tie. He smiled like it was the best day ever as his groomsmen helped him get ready. Blindfolded, he was guided outside where Kristina met him and they stood back to back. We’re imagining he was dying to pull that thing off and see his bride but he patiently waited until she walked down the aisle.

The aisle!! The entire ceremony space. Bravo Joyeux Events and Helianthus Floral Design! A triangle arch was decorated with pampas grass and bunches of rich flowers and a trendy lounge area by The White Elephant Co. sat off to the side. When Kristina walked down the aisle with her father, Steven lost it, and we’re so thankful this reaction was caught on camera. There were more tears and lots of smiles as these two shared vows and said I Do’s. After a first kiss and second kiss, a Sudwerk Brewery beer toast was in order! Fun fact, they brewed this beer together just for their wedding day.

Hello fabulous wedding party. Those burgundy Azazie dresses and bouquets to match, the suits and trendy ties. We love it all. What we love most though. The fact that the ladies dropped the GROOM. On the ground. When we’re browsing through wedding photos we never know what we’re going to find. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry, but this sequence of pictures had us doing both at the same time. So stinking funny!!

Kristina was literally glowing in her bridals. So much confidence and so many smiles. We can feel the energy of this group through these photos. After a Lime scooter ride and family portraits, Kristina and Steven snuck off into golden fields alone for sunset. But it wasn’t long before they headed back to cocktail hour. There’s no need to take loads of photos on your wedding day when you’ve got a day-after session to look forward to. Enjoy your party!

If it’s possible, the reception space was more magical than the ceremony. Weaved bowls and chargers were frames for the table assignments. Golden water goblets framed eucalyptus runners down farm tables. The table numbers with the dinner menu hung from copper piping and the burgundy napkins tied the whole thing together. A pretzel bar with yummy dips was available for guests during cocktail hour and they got to watch their wood fire pizzas made by Paul’s Rustin Pizza Oven.

They toasted, danced and keg stand-ed (you’ll have to trust us here) the night away and this looks like a party we wish we’d been invited too!

The day after. Kristina and Steven found the most incredible place to take photos. Drenched in sunlight and the happiness of being newlyweds, they laughed, adventured and cuddled through the most beautiful session.

Congratulations you two!! We wish you a lifetime of tasty beer, magical Tahoe sunsets, and happy tears. Welcome to Married Life!!
