In Tahoe this week and feeling all the feels. So sitting here watching the sun come up over the lake, reliving Angelia and Jeff’s breathtaking wedding at Twenty Mile House seemed like the perfect way to spend the morning. Kay Kroshus, an insanely talented local photographer, did this husband and wife’s engagement shoot and joined them again at one of our all time favorite Tahoe venues. Let’s head there, but first we wanted to give a shout out to Rachel, the couple’s rockstar coordinator.
Twenty Mile House is packed full of history, dating back to the 1854. The main cottage was built with colorful brick and intricate woodwork, two white rocking chairs sit proudly on it’s front porch. Inside is a mix of old and new, with vintage decor, bright walls and modern finishes. Angela sipped champagne with her besties while Edin Carpenter Makeup and Elise Brodsky made sure she felt as beautiful outside as she is inside and Kenzie from Lokal Salon curled her long hair, pinning it half up to set the stage for a gorgeous floral headpiece by Helianthus Floral Design. Her dress was one of my absolute favorites by Grace Loves Lace, the Rosa. A final hug from her sweet mother and sister, and she was ready for the first look.
Jeff wore a classic blue suit with a grey vest and burgundy tie. He smiled excitedly as he stood in the middle of a wooded field and waited for Angela to tap him on the shoulder. And then the smiles start. Smiles that were so grateful and joyful that it’s nearly impossible for me not to join when looking at them. Can we also take a minute to talk about the dreamiest bouquet by Sonia at Grey’s Flower Garden!?? Blush and burgundy florals accented with blue thistle (our favorite) and lots of leafy greenery. Perfection.

Angela and Jeff started the coolest company in the Reno/Tahoe area, Petite Street. Petite Street has three super unique bar options for a wedding or event, the Petite Street bar (pictured below) is a beautifully and carefully renovated vintage trailer. With love how the white contrasts with natural backdrops and the refirbished wood make each window warm and inviting. The Derby Bar is a renovated horse trailer with four tap handles for couple’s who appreciate a little variety. Their latest creation, The Tapster, is a 1963 Cushman Truckster converted into a self-serve bar on wheels. Not only do they have the cutest mobile pubs, they are also incredible bartenders. These two design custom cocktails for each event and I’ve tasted enough to tell you that they are delicious!!
Decorated with a greenery garland, their first creation stood proudly in the venue’s lawn, ready to distribute French 75s and Greyhounds to family and friends.

The ceremony took place in front of spectacular tall pines, drapery was used to create an elegant arch. Angela’s sister walked the couple’s pup Maple down the aisle and also played the very important role of officiant.
Angela and Jeff happily said their own intimate vows and then shared their first kiss as husband and wife as guests cheered them on. Before joining their reception the newlyweds snuck off to take photos along the train tracks and on the boulders of the venue’s iconic Jackson Creek. But it wasn’t long before they found themselves at Petite Street with a tasty drink and trendy straw in hand.

Dinner took place in front of the main house. Pretty farm tables with lace runners were set under strands of twinkly market lighting. To make the space more magical, lighting also wrapped around nearby trees and along the home’s Pinterest-worthy front porch.
Do Well Events hosted an epic forest dance party and afterwards the couple sipped specialty cocktails in their very own late night speakeasy. I cannot think of two people more deserving of the perfect wedding day and am so happy for Angela and Jeff. Cheers to many more successful years in the wedding industry with Petite Street, lots of traveling with Passports and Champagne and inspiring all of the soon-to-be newlyweds who are lucky enough to have a chance to collaborate with you!! XOXO
