I met Tanner & Macy on their wedding day, something I very rarely do, but throughout the planning process and the months leading up to their celebration, I admired Macy’s pure heart and endless love for her groom. The very first thing I noticed about Tanner, was how truly grateful he was for all the people that had taken time from their lives to support and witness this beautiful day. Through his excitement you could also see how deeply he cares for and trusts these friends and family, and also the magnitude of his love for his gorgeous bride, Macy. We love so much about Tanner and Macy’s backyard wedding in Bend, Oregon. Let’s start with her iconic Willowby Watters Galatea gown and her elegant updo by Cill Price. We are obsessed with the trendy braid and dainty headpiece Macy chose to add some sparkle. Her mother helped the bride into her romantic wedding dress and sent her off over a wooden bridge into a grassy meadow where her groom was waiting for their first look (which was magical, by the way).

It’s no wonder the couple chose to get married at the bride’s home. The grounds are stunning. Tanner and Macy explored with Shana before joining their wedding party and each and every spot they chose for photos is so colorful and full of life. Bend is pretty awesome, isn’t it?

Ok, we’ve never heard of this PDX company before but it’s seriously the coolest idea. Lou + You Florals. You’ll work with Lou + You to design your dream florals, pick them up the week of your wedding and design your own bouquet! What a fun activity for you and your bride tribe!! Macy worked with Lou + You to design the most incredible peach, blush and lavender arrangement. We love the soft oversized roses and sprays of color. We’re even more obsessed with the combination of bridesmaids dresses Macy chose, which match the flowers beautifully.

The ceremony took place under a fence post arbor. Macy’s father walked her down the aisle while Tanner held back tears. They laughed and cried through vows and I Do’s and finally shared their first kiss as husband and wife while loved ones cheered them on.

Who doesn’t love a donut wall? And how cool is this one!? Made of wood with colorful carvings, this is something we know the couple will cherish for years to come! Tanner and Macy shared their first dance just as the sunset began, twinkle lights hung from above and their wedding party watched from an oversized farm table, draped in eucalyptus. A quick golden hour session and these two were back at their reception, dancing the night away with Bend Event Sound.
