I Know You Are The One – Jeff and Maei’s Wonderful Tahoe Wedding

Jeff and Maei were married at one of the most romantic venues on South Lake, the Valhalla House. The lodge was built in 1924 and features a natural stone fireplace and vintage French doors that open onto a lodgepole pine porch. A short flight of stairs sends guests down to a lawn of towering pines and an incredible view of the lake. Shuttered Light Photography captured memories that will last a lifetime and we’re so excited to share this wedding day with you.

Our dream team, Lamplight Lettering and A Floral Affair, made sure the venue’s front porch was ready to greet guests. A hand written wooden welcome sign was decorated in blush florals and greenery. The flowers were also sprinkled across the guestbook table.

The ceremony space at Valhalla House is magnificent. Jeff and Maei said their vows and became husband and wife in front of a stunning backdrop. Twinkle lights hung from balcony to balcony, and the most epic alter arrangement added a pop of color to the stone fireplace.

After the ceremony, it was time to get outside!! The sun was shining, and the kids loved the grassy green lawn. Before the reception started, Jeff and Maei took a romantic stroll on the venue’s dock. Surrounded by the lake and a light breeze, it was so peaceful there, the perfect spot to take it all in.

While guests were outside, the lodge was transformed into a dreamy reception space. Each guest’s place card was paired with a delicious Ferrero Rocher chocolate. Maei changed into a reception dress with flowery lace sleeves and a skirt made for dancing! This was truly a night to remember. Thank you Jeff and Maei for letting me be a part of it!! Welcome to Married Life!!
