I Do’s Between Two Cabins – A Hawaii Vibes Lakefront Wedding in Minnesota

Backyard weddings are our favorite, especially the waterfront kind. Leah and Sam chose Minnetonka, Minnesota for their best day ever but their tropical florals and colorful decor would have you thinking they tied the knot on a private island somewhere far away!! Our girl Mattie Krall shared her favorites with us, starting with the bride’s windy boat ride to the venue!

As the girls were arriving, the guys were pinning on colorful boutonnieres by Eclectic Elegance Florals. We love the combination of purple, pink and yellow tropical flowers that paired perfectly with their blue floral ties. Leah wore a dramatic Hayley Paige gown with modern sequin details and a sweetheart neckline. This pretty dress was definitely one of our favorites of 2019!

Their ceremony space was right on the water, with vintage rugs lining the aisle and an arch covered in flowers and macrame. Guests threw bright flower petals as the bride and groom shared their first kiss and walked hand and hand for the first time as husband and wife!

The reception space was full of details we’re obsessing over. Palm leaves with guest names marked each place setting. Glass water goblets are one of our favorite ways to add color to a tablescape and these tables had yellows, greens and blues galore! Florals weren’t only scattered across the farm tables but also wrapped along the tent’s beams, bringing the outside in.

Our favorite moment was the couple’s first dance which took place on a pretty Persian rug just outside the reception space. Guests smiled under market lighting as Leah and Sam swayed back and forth, smiling brightly at each other. Welcome to Married Life you two!! May your marriage be as energetic and colorful as your wedding day!! XOXO
