Copper, Indigo and House-Made Margaritas – Carly and Roberto’s Rock Springs Ranch Wedding

I felt like I won the lottery when I got asked to help coordinate Carly and Roberto’s wedding. And not because the event was a bit of a high school reunion or because it was the first wedding I’ve planned in my new hometown, but because Carly’s vision was so creative and fun, and it was such a blast watching both families come together to make it a reality!

Rock Springs Ranch in Bend, Oregon is a pretty magical place. Just outside of town, this property has stunning views, privacy and even cabins if you’re looking to stay the night!! Tim and Caitlin of Gallivan Photo did an incredible job catching the beauty of the space, from the light gently passing through it’s tall trees the tranquil pond spanning both the ceremony and reception space. I’d hang out here every day if I could!

The bride selected indigo runners, copper and acrylic signs by My Fair Letters, and a candy bar with cute drawstring grab bags to greet guests as they arrived. Before the ceremony, Roberto and Carly had an intimate first look, snapped photos with family, and snuck off through the trees to share a few quiet moments alone before the party started.

The ceremony took place on a wooden dock over the water. A simple copper arch was surrounded by plants and pampas grass. Carly walked down the aisle to Fleetwood Mac’s Songbird and they shared their vows as the bride’s mother proudly carried Carly’s Hey You Flowers bouquet. It was perfect.

After I Do’s guests lined up to snack on appetizers and sip handcrafted cocktails by Twist Cocktails. The mood was energetic and Edna Vazquez’s acoustic set filled the warm summer air. One of our favorite moments of the day was when Carly and Roberto started their first dance during cocktail hour. They didn’t want to announce the dance, but guests slowly noticed the two swaying back and forth under the twinkle lights and by the end everyone was watching with smiles.

Tequila cheers, delicious churros by Foxtail Bakeshop, and a seriously amazing dance party rounded out this perfect day. Cheers to the coolest couple and their new chapter together as husband and wife!! Congratulations Carly and Roberto, thanks for letting me be a part of your day.
