Shannon and Jason’s Costanoa Lodge wedding, beautifully captured by Abi Q Photography, warmed our hearts and sent our wedding inspiration radar through the roof. The bride describes her best day ever so perfectly.
“For the year leading up to our wedding, I was hyper-focused on figuring out how to live in the moment during our wedding. How to really soak in the love and beauty of the day rather than obsess over imperfections or worry about what other people were thinking or feeling.
I knew it would go by in the blink of an eye — and wowza, it absolutely did — but in that blink I was the most present I’ve ever been. A truly magical mix of our favorite humans, zero WiFi, definitely not zero tequila, the dance floor of my dreams, and a deep connection with my sweet husband that will forever be imprinted on my soul. We could never adequately express our gratitude for our families and best friends that made our hearts explode with love, and our community of vendors that helped manifest our vision into reality. Thank you all for opening your hearts (and tear ducts) up with us. Just when I think I have no tears left to give, they just start flowing again.”
We love so much about this magical venue and everything the couple chose to make it their own. Shannon wore of our favorite Homebodii robes while getting pampered by Janesa Simmons. Her dress was stunning. A body hugging Sarah Seven with a plunging neckline, delicate straps and silky train. Her a.b. Ellie veil was sprinkled with pearls and she smiled each time she got the opportunity to playfully pose with it.
Their first look was beautiful and intimate. These photos were also our first peak at magnificent florals by Eothen. Soft blush and peach flowers with romantic sprays of white and greenery and loose ribbon that swayed gently in the wind. This bouquet was just the beginning of Eothen’s floral magic.
The bridesmaids looked stunning in silky mismatched dresses. We love that the colors they chose perfectly matched the venue’s natural palette with golds and reds to pair with grassy fields, and grey and blue to match the sky and sea. Thanks to E Events Co., this color scheme flowed beautifully throughout the ceremony and reception spaces in the linens, floral centerpieces and alter arrangement, and rust colored votives.
Our favorite moment? After the ceremony, the bride and groom took off to the beach for photos before dinner. The vibes in these photos are just perfection. Shannon and Jason look so happy and relaxed, exploring the sandy coast and dancing with the birds. A close second has to be this couple’s reception dance party. I only selected a few for the blog, but there are hundreds of epic photos of the newlyweds and their guests getting down under the sailcloth tent’s twinkle lights.
Congratulations Shannon and Jason!! Your Costanoa Lodge wedding was a beautiful mix of modern decor and natural elements. We wish you two a lifetime of dance parties with loved ones, weekend glamping getaways and sandy beach sunsets. Welcome to Married Life.
