I Do’s and Dancing Shoes – Laura and Travis’s Modern Museum Lab Wedding Day

Getting married at a museum is a trend we’re seeing more and more, and absolutely love! The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s Museum Lab is both playful and romantic, the perfect spot to say I Do. Carly K Photography takes us back to a sunny Saturday in November for Laura and Travis’s best day ever.

Laura wore a classic Mikaella Bridal gown from Luxe Redux Bridal. A short train showed off her pretty high heels and her bouquet by Jim Ludwig’s Blumengarten was packed full of pretty pinks to match her lip color. She smiled from ear to ear as she walked up behind her groom for the first look. Lots of hugs, kisses and high fives followed before the bride and groom met their wedding party to head to the ceremony.

We LOVE a brick ceremony space, seriously so romantic. Their aisle was decorated with modern geometric lanterns and lush ferns. The couple shared vows and a first kiss before cheering with family and friends to celebrate becoming husband and wife, sneaking outside with Carly K for some quick twilight photos before joining their reception.

The museum describes the reception space as a beautiful ruin. “With its ornate entrance, high arches, unique spaces and inspiring artwork, MuseumLab makes a lasting impression.” We couldn’t agree more, what a stunning spot for dinner and dancing with Tj Harris. Congratulations Laura and Travis!! We wish you a lifetime of trips back to the museum (maybe even with kiddos someday), celebratory high fives, and lots of laughter. Welcome to Married Life.
