Matching Vans and Sanitized Hands – Monica and Jacob’s Intimate San Luis Obispo Wedding Day

Monica and Jacob, originally had their wedding scheduled for May 23, but because of the Coronavirus they had to change their plans. The couple decided to get married with their immediate family in April.  Katie and Joseph of Poppy and Vine were supposed to be in the wedding party but instead offered to photograph this special day and we are SO thankful they did!!

The ceremony took place on the lawn at Mountainbrook Church in San Luis Obispo. Monica’s wore a classic gown with lace floral detail and delicate straps from A Heart’s Desires Bridal.  They got creative with vendors, her pretty yellow rose and baby’s breath bouquet was pieced together from leftover flowers at their local grocery store. Olive Garden catered a little picnic after the ceremony. And the adorable flower girl made sure the bride was armed with hand sanitizer. Although their wedding didn’t go as planned, the smiles on their faces show us that all that truly mattered to them was the commitment they made to one another.

Congratulations Monica and Jacob!! You two are an inspiration and reminder of what a wedding is all about. We wish you two a lifetime of happiness and lots of hugs and socializing with family and friends once all of this is over. Welcome to Married Life!
