Trunk Bay has been named one of the world’s best beaches, and the electric teal coloring of the ocean is just one reason why. Anne Bequette, a 10-year resident and photographer in St. John, captured these engagement photos to show that, even during a pandemic, love isn’t canceled.
Matt proposed to Asya on March 15, 2020, two days after the first case of COVID-19 was reported in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The couple brought their pup along for the shoot, and wore old masks from Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Even those masks couldn’t hide their just engaged smiles and the photos of them dancing barefoot in the sand, waves crashing all around them, are just stunning. Congratulations Matt and Asya!!
