Boots and Zeppelin – Taylor and Matt’s Eclectic Joshua Tree Engagement Session

We’ll let beautiful bride-to-be Taylor tell you a little more about her rad Joshua Tree engagement session.

“I always knew I wanted to have our engagement shoot in Joshua Tree. This place holds a special place in our hearts. My brother and sister in law got married in Joshua Tree 2 years ago. We have been back many times. Each time we go is a different and beautiful experience.

If you’ve been there you know, it’s pure magic. It is one of our favorite places to escape.

We love camping with friends, rock climbing and exploring the national park. We love desert vibes and that was the inspiration behind my outfits. Being from Oklahoma, I always grew up wearing cowgirl boots. I wanted to stick to my roots for this shoot. For my 21st birthday my dad bought me a pair of white cowgirl boots. I don’t get to wear them often, but Joshua Tree is the perfect place for them. My favorite accessory is a hat, and Lack of Color has some awesome ones! It gives it that Boho/Western look. I loved holding hands and running around with Matt in a white fluffy For Love & Lemons dress with cowgirl boots on! We had the best time in the desert with our photographer, Liz Erban. I am grateful that Liz understood my vision and captured the most beautiful moments of us in Joshua Tree!

It was a pretty epic day! Nothing better than seeing the sunset in Joshua Tree. “

Shout out to Stephy’s Bride Guide for bringing Taylor and Matt’s vision to life. We love this desert boho inspo and cannot wait to see photos from their wedding day!!
