My Sunshine in the Rain - An Intimate Tropical Wedding at Seascape Resort

Although Ashley and Brendan’s wedding wasn’t what they’d originally planned for, it turned out to be perfect and more beautiful than I could have imagined! It doesn’t take much to make a venue like Seascape Resort look magical. Its ocean views, pampas grass, and cypress trees make the most epic backdrop.

A rockstar team of vendors joined me in helping make this couple’s vision a reality. Ashley Rae Studio’s colorful and energetic photography style was a great match for Ashley and Brendan. Shout out to Glam Garden for the dreamiest tropical floral arrangements, Nico Perez for the sweetest ceremony music, and Tiffany Sison for designing the prettiest signage.

Ashley always has a smile on her face. She’s excited and funny, super organized and sure of herself. She’s a wedding planner’s dream. Her wedding day style is bohemian with a tropical flare, and her Dreamers and Lovers gown was a stunning choice. The flirty lace sleeves and long, light train were perfect for sandy reception photos. She wore leather sandals to match Brendan’s shoes, he looked handsome and relaxed in a white shirt, meant to be worn untucked, and blue slacks.

After I Do’s under an arch decorated with king protea and lush greenery, the couple took photos with their pup and family before enjoying cocktails and time with the lucky few that were able to attend the wedding in person. As the sun set on this incredible day, Ashley and Brendan walked along the beach, watching the waves and smiling as bright as the sun. I wish I could have been there to feel the energy and see these two become husband and wife, but I’m so grateful I was able to be even a little part of their best day ever.

I wish you a lifetime of trips to the California coast, late night dance parties, and reunions with family and friends with lots of hugs (once COVID is behind us). Thank you for bringing joy and color to 2020 for Engaged Life!
