You Mean The World To Me – Kaley and Austin’s Intimate Portland Wedding

Your wedding day is what childhood dreams are made of. Fancy bouquets, embroidered dresses, tailored tuxes, and delicate details are all weaved into the prettiest of wedding daydreams. On October 13, 2018, Kaley and Austin got to watch their wedding dream become reality.

Coordinator and longtime family friend, Lindsay Turman, did an incredible job planning this beautiful best day ever, and Dawn Photo and J. Vigil Photography captured the couple’s most priceless (and perfect) moments. Lucky enough, the couple wishes to share their day with us! Hopefully, their dreamlike wedding will inspire all those soon-to-be newlyweds.

The very trendy and brand spanking new Canopy Portland is where the day started. Kaley says, “They had JUST opened and were seriously SO amazing/accommodating. Everyone had the best experience.” One of our favorite details were Kaley and Austin’s wedding flowers. Seventh Stem, a college roommate of the bride, created beautiful arrangements centered around blooming roses. Your first sneak peek of these pretties are photos of in the bridal suite of the girl’s epic bouquets. Of course, flowers look even better when paired with a stunning dress and Kaley’s did not disappoint with a silhouette flower embroidered gown from Made With Love Bridal.

Not only did Kaley have exquisite taste when selecting her own gown, but she was also kind enough to let her bridesmaids select their own dresses in pretty shades of blush and burgundy! We love this trend y’all, it always looks so great in photos. Kaley tells Engaged Life, “I let them pick whatever they wanted following a color palette I provided and they nailed it!” She continues, “I never once had to worry or even think about it.”

From the timeless church ceremony, to the rich red brick wall that stood proudly as the backdrop for their photos, and the industrial Castaway reception space, filled with pampas grass and candlestick glow, every little detail was magical and unique to these newlyweds. Guests helped themselves to cake before Kaley and Austin even had a chance to cut it, proof that Dream Cakes PDX makes the most delicious looking desserts. DJ Ron Tourage had everyone on the dance floor. Because his beat dropping skills were top notch he even left that night with referrals for upcoming weddings. Maybe we’ll see him on Engaged Life again someday!

Kaley was one of those brides who had luck (and lots of love) on her side. Kaley tells, “I was lucky enough to have so many friends in the industry who played such a major part in our wedding.” Continuing, “It made everything so stress-free for me because I had all the faith in the world in our wedding team because I knew them and they know me (my style, personality, etc.). We both come from HUGE families and so our guest count was pushing 300 yet the ceremony/reception felt so intimate. That was truly so special.

Kaley and Austin’s wedding was just that, special.
